Furniture Link was established in 1997 to meet the needs of disadvantaged, low income households and vulnerable individuals in the local community. We are a registered charity (1071982) managed by a Board of Trustees.

We collect unwanted but reusable items donated by local households. Anything suitable for reuse is brought back to our warehouse to be cleaned, repaired and tested for safety. Items are passed on at low or no cost to people who need them. We currently have over 2300 disadvantaged families on our client register.

Much of our work is done by the 60 to 80 volunteers a year who support the project. We aim to help those volunteers who wish to gain skills, work experience and confidence by providing varied and rewarding opportunities in our shop, warehouse, workshop and on the vans.

Furniture Link was proud to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service 2005.
